Booking Spa Appointments?
Peak hours are often late afternoons and weekends (especially Saturdays), so book as far in advance as possible in order to ensure getting the particular time, day, and therapist you want. It’s easiest to accommodate you during off-peak hours, which are often in the mornings and mid-week.
When to Arrive?
If you are receiving skin care, body treatment, or a massage, please arrive early for your appointment to ensure your services run as smoothly as possible. This will help ensure enough time to change into the provided spa attire and receive a relaxing foot soak.
As much as we would like, we cannot guarantee service for late arrivals. In most cases, we will have to reschedule you or possibly abbreviate the intended services.
Modesty Issues?
It is never required that you are unclothed in front of anyone at our spa. Towels and robes are provided and can keep you continually covered. Therapists are well trained in the “art of draping”. They leave the treatment room while you get under the sheet of the massage table, and they keep you covered at all times except for the area of the body being massaged. They also leave the treatment room before you get up from the table.
Pregnancy or Medical Conditions?
Be sure to mention any medical information when you book an appointment. Certain treatments may not be advisable for you. Also, before your treatment begins, let your therapist or esthetician know of any medical concerns. Tell the technician if you’re wearing contact lenses before you have a facial.
Eating and Drinking?
Try not to eat a heavy meal within one hour prior to a treatment, and avoid the consumption of alcohol on the day of a treatment. Drink plenty of water before and afterward.
Cell Phones?
Because the spa environment is supposed to be a tranquil and stress-reducing experience, it’s best to have cell phones and pagers turned off before entering the day spa.
Communicating Your Preferences?
Some aspects of your treatment can be modified to your taste; whether or not you choose to have a conversation or enjoy the treatment in silence. If you want the therapist to go deeper or be gentler, let them know. Also, feel free to ask questions. Our therapists will appreciate knowing your thoughts and clarifying any issues you may have. If any part of your experience is unsatisfactory, first tell the therapist. If the response isn’t helpful, ask to speak to a supervisor
Sun and Spa?
Try to avoid the sun on the day of treatment and, in some cases, the day after. And always wear sun protection! In Apples and Oranges, we accept Verve, Visa, MasterCard, and Discover.
Gratuities?
Gratuity is not included in the price of services. If you are satisfied with your service, a 15% to 20% tip is customary. Gratuity envelopes are available at the front desk, or it can be included on your credit card or personal check payment.
If you are unhappy with your service, please let us know so we can make it right! Our primary objective is to ensure each service and visit meets your satisfaction
Cancellations?
We ask that you notify us at least 24 hours in advance if you are unable to keep your appointment. In the event that a scheduled service provider is unable to work, Apples and Oranges total body therapy will do everything possible to accommodate your wishes. This could result in rescheduling the appointment to another date/time or rescheduling you with another service provider. In all cases, we want to ensure that your desires are met!
Children under the age of 13 must be supervised by an adult at all times. We do, however allow children to enjoy certain facial, nail, and massage treatments under the following guidelines: Children under the age of 18 must have an adult sign their initial consultation form
Professional Standards?
Our licensed therapists and estheticians are trained to help improve your health, body and psyche. If a therapist ever feels that a client is behaving inappropriately, they are authorized to stop the treatment immediately. Payment and penalty will apply.
